@KontraVersus It's always easier saying "Yeah, that was obvious..." when you weren't the one who had been approached. Those scams are aimed to destabilize the target - which is sometimes hard to see for others.
If you are scared of getting scammed again, buy and read 'The Art of Deception' by Kevin Mitnick. It's essentially a book on self-defense against social engineering:

I read it 'once' over a decade ago and I still get "chances" to apply what I learned from that book several times a year (in 'actual' real life).

I feel like a normal person would be like "wow that is a SCAM" immediately and I was like "AAH! SCARY SITTUATION!" plus I was legit never scammed before in my entire life (in terms of online scams at least lol) so I didn't know what to do, but it's good I actually spotted that phew
